MÖRKTOBER: 22 – Thief

I’m going to try daily to write something for Morktober. Often these will probably be poems, so come stop by daily to see what I’m up to. All prompts are based off Exeunt Press.

All art by Tony Tran, who also illustrated Horus & Motherfucker! Check out his patreon for more artwork.

Thief

Into gloom and certain doom
Marches young Horus
Seeking the tomb’s precious womb

There it looms with gaping jaws
There stands young Horus
Waiting fearless of demon claws

Here it is, you foolish boy
Come, sweet young Horus
The crunch of your bones will be my joy

Through the maze he wanders lost
Fearless young Horus
Unaware of what this will cost

You shall never escape here alive
My precious Horus
Take the ring, dream how you’ll thrive

Feel my curse pouring through your skin
Foolish, my Horus
Your escape you’ll never win
