MÖRKTOBER: 4- Howl

I’m going to try daily to write something for Morktober. Often these will probably be poems, so come stop by daily to see what I’m up to. All prompts are based off Exeunt Press.

All art by Tony Tran, who also illustrated Horus & Motherfucker! Check out his patreon for more artwork.

Howl

In the forest draped in night
We keep to shadows deep and wide
Past skeletal trees we stride
Our steel in hand prepared to bite

Sharpen your teeth!

Hear the call crack open night
Laughter echoes, our jaws stretch wide
Steel on steel we clang our pride
Through darkest night we spread our spite

Sharpen your teeth!

Cracking bones, howling night
Feasting full, all who died
Laughing free, fearful ride
On and on, bloody smiles bright
